2nd MIND Activity of 2018
Next post
Today’s activity will first be started off by see how much of the Grocery List story memory you’ve retained since a few days ago. So grab a pen & paper to begin this MIND focus activity. I’ll even provide you the first lead-up clue:
- You’re riding in a shopping cart following an elephant
- When the Elephant (1st part of this item’s name) turns around and looks at you with it’s head made out of…(rest of the 1st item’s name here)…
So, how well did you retain this story list? If you remembered more than 15 that’s GREAT 🙂 If you remembered around 5-ish, then that’s still great improvement and most likely more than you would have remembered from just looking over the words to attempt memorizing.
Now to begin Today’s MIND focus activity, will again use the Linking Method (article attached) to further develop this skill, until next time we’ll work on another method. Using the method/routine as the Grocery List story memory activity, and create a new list of items that YOU want to memorize that benefits YOU. Think of people’s birthday’s you want to memorize and turn it into a small story. Or maybe career or academic related words you need to memorize for your job or a test, and again turn each of those into mini stories. Whatever you decided to memorize, try using the Linking Method (article attached) method, although this isn’t the best method for this specific types of lists (names, study words, etc.), this however, is to further strengthen your linking skills with items that relate specific to YOU.
That’s all for today, be back tomorrow for Favorite Focus Friday! 🙂
