Bit About the Blogger

Good morning, evening, night, whichever time it may be for you.

I’m a regular guy trying to live life currently only when time allows, and that needs to change. I’m not an ivy league grad student, no Ph.D or masters degree, neither a wealthy entrepreneur, nor a prodigy of some sort. Currently nearing the roll over point of my 20’s to into my 30’s, I feel I’ve done well for myself through my career, but missing a lot of myself in life. I’m one more person in the rat race looking to begin treading new tracks.

Too often I’ve told myself, “I wish I could…”, “If only…”, “Maybe after…”, and frankly, I’m finished getting by in life. I hope my journey to grasp a balanced life will help at least one other person. I often self-sacrifice my goals, desires, finances in order to help out others, but need to develop myself so I can help others more than I can in my current situation. Many times in my life I couldn’t provide for myself even while working 50-70hr weeks when I was younger, and although I work much the same hours, I’ve established a stable financial balance in life by budgeting tricks I’ve come across or found through trials and many errors.

Through childhood I moved very often, which was difficult when a child, but I appreciate my ability to quickly adapt and think outside the box in life as an adult. I attended 16 schools growing up, one an online school temporarily when I first moved to WA. In my life, I have moved upwards in the four to five dozens mark. Since adulthood, I have lived in 8 locations since about 2006, far less moving, but still more than many I know.

I live in the north western area of Washington state, and life continues to grow into an unnecessary hustle & bustle life style where everyone is doing so much, yet accomplishing little. Traffic in my area has become ever frustrating, and to calculate the hours lost each year sitting in traffic greatly boggles my mind, at times sitting in my driveway for 8-14min waiting for someone to let me onto the street. This rat race in a hamster ball the world has many of us in causes a struggle to survive paycheck to paycheck.

I currently own over a 1,000 books, (yes, a thousand) most non-fiction, and bargain shopping at used books stores. With a lifetime of insomnia and OCD in certain aspects, I greatly love to pursue better methods to accomplish tasks. I love learning new skills and facts, although I’m no master of any topic. I have more of a jack-of -all-trades general understanding of many subjects. I hope my insomnia and OCD will benefit others with little tips and tricks I’ve learned in my years.

Many days this day forward I hope to be sitting here in my favorite robe, sitting near the window looking outside, or sitting in the sun, writing my thoughts and activities to change my life on my laptop.
