My 1st SPIRIT Activity

My 1st SPIRIT Activity

Today at work was another longer Monday night. My crew did well, still beaten and tired from the Memorial holiday preparation, but still worked well tonight. Volume was strong with the summer months, but being short over 20%-25% of my crew, every day is long. Although only a 10hr shift, yesterday morning was the first time I’ve had a solid 7-8hrs of sleep in the last 6 days, and my body and mind was not letting me wake up all throughout the shift.

From the beginning I was very busy since I’m covering my admin and also still needed to accomplish my beginning of the day tasks, all while doing my best to complete both beginning shifts in the same time. After 6hrs of go-go-go, I finally had 5min to make something to eat (can chili, burger patty, and red potato, all covered with cheddar cheese). In that 5min of finally having my mind break away from work and just think, the only thing I could think about was my need to start my LivingLife program. I NEED CHANGE in my life, I need a life in my life. As I’ve mentioned in my intro and about me, I love my crew and enjoy what I do, however, my life has strongly been work and a very minimal amount of time focused on life.

I still here thinking about what I want as my 1st Spirit activity. Why choose Spirit first? Because most people, including myself, if they have come across this site, it’s due to a need for change, there’s the determination there demanding change, and Spirit is the voice behind the drive. My 1st Spirit activity for myself will be to write 6 single word descriptions for how I feel my life is at this moment, and 6 single words for how I want my life to be 6 months from now.

Now (June 6th, 2017): -Loved-Unfocused-Sacrificing-Withdrawn-Structured-Loyalty-

Later (December 6th, 2017): -Loved-Accomplishing-Developing-Balanced-Secure-Spontaneous-

That’s all, quick and to the point activity. Don’t think too long on it, just close your eyes and let it naturally write itself. These will change, I’ll come back to this activity in three months to check my progress. Until then, I’ll have these words written down and in my wallet, when I’m in situations where I’m at a fork, or need to remember where my focus is needed, I’ll remember where my goal is by December.

Until next time, keep LivingLife, and take care of yourself and those you love!
